• Kristine’s Birthday Celebration

  Kristine originally didn't want to have a birthday party. She was afraid I'd make her wear one of those pointy hats that would make her look silly. I would *never* do such a thing.

  
  Kristine’s birthday supper went really well. We had wine and chocolate and Chicken Cordon Bleu, asparagus and wild rice.

  It was a good time.

  My mother’s birthday is today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!

   I suppose you didn’t MAKE her wear that stuff. She could have sic’ed Izzy Lou on you in her defense. Looking at that outfit, Sebastian may have helped. And even at that, you did NOT insist she wear one of those pointy hats.

   No ice cream??

   No ice cream. Kristine is on a low sugar diet. The chocolate cake recipe, which is very good, has no sugar or flour in it.
